Recently, I rekindled my love of pugilistic digital combat with the newest edition of Mortal Kombat. I’m not gonna say how late I may have stayed up playing this game, nor will I divulge how many consecutive times I utilized johnny Cage’s groin pulverizing uppercut to fend off enemies (Lots!) ; but I will say that the combination of late hours, and a move I’ve found hilarious since childhood, may have contributed to the culmination of this comic strip. Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection Review (XBLA)

I’ve been playing Mortal Kombat since it first appeared in arcades. Its sequels; Mortal Kombat 2 and Mortal Kombat 3 ate up entire summers, either in the arcade or at home on my Sega Genesis. The Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection features all three of the classic entries from the early to mid 1990’s. Mortal Kombat 1 and 2 along with Ultimate MK 3 make their appearance here, where you can purchase them for 800 Microsoft Points or $10 bucks from the PSN store. Originally developed by John Tobias and Ed Boon at Midway Games, let’s take a look at Other Ocean’s port of these arcade classics. (more…)
